The Scholars Beyond the Professiorate Conference Travel Grant (SBP) provides travel assistance to non-professorial and/or non-tenure track faculty presenting their research at the Annual Meeting. At the 57th Annual Meeting to be held April 1-3, 2027 in Portland, up to 5 grants will be awarded by lottery.
In order to be eligible for the Grant, the applicant must be a current member of ASECS who teaches part-time or full time but not in a tenure-track line; or not (such as librarians, staff, etc.). Individuals paying Graduate Student or Emeriti/ae Faculty Membership Rates are not eligible.
In order to apply for the Grant, please fill out this form with your contact information and the name of the Annual Meeting session(s) which you will be speaking on by Dec. 15, 2026, 11:59pm ET: BSP Travel Fund Application
If you have any questions, or if completing the form would pose an obstacle to application, please contact the Executive Director with the subject line “BSP Travel Grant.”
For the 2027 Grant, awardees will receive conference registration and up to 2 nights at the conference hotel.
Awardees may not receive more than one type of ASECS conference support.
