The Ibero-American Society Fund supports the following:
The Pilar Sáenz Annual Student Essay Prize
Description: This prize is awarded to the best graduate student essay submitted on a topic within any academic discipline that pertains to the Ibero-American world in the “long” eighteenth century (c. 1680-1830). Papers should have been written for a course or academic program at a North American university no longer than two years prior to the submission deadline. Advanced undergraduate papers accompanied by a letter from a supervising faculty member will also be considered.
The María Salgado Travel Grant
Description: The grant is awarded to graduate students who will be presenting original work pertaining to the Ibero-American world in the “long” eighteenth century (c. 1680-1830) in person at the annual ASECS national conference. No travel grant will be awarded for participation at a virtual annual conference.
