ASECS Overflow Hotel: DoubleTree by Hilton
ASECS has been able to secure a small block of rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown, which is an approx. 5-minute walk to the main conference hotel. The cut-off date is Tuesday, March 19th, 2024.
ASECS has negotiated the following discounted hotel rates per night:
$269CAD Single / Double (You can use a currency calculator for current USD equivalent)
USD equivalent rate as of 3/13/2023: $198.68.
Rates do not include the current tax of 13% Harmonized Sales Tax and 6% Municipal Accommodation Tax
The contracted rate is good until either the room block sells out or until Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Availability and rate cannot be guaranteed once the room block is sold out or after this date.
Conference Hotel Rate includes:
– Complimentary Guest room internet is available if the reservation is made within the ASECS
conference, contracted room block.
– Complimentary use of the Business Centre, Fitness Centre, and Indoor Pool.

Sheraton Centre:
The ASECS 2024 Annual Meeting contracted room block for the Sheraton Centre Toronto is sold out. The Sheraton Centre Toronto graciously accommodated ASECS’s requests to provide numerous additional rooms at the negotiated rate, and those additional rooms have now all been booked.
As of Saturday, March 2nd the hotel still has a few rooms available at their standard rate, but they are nearly sold out on several nights.

Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is located 27.4 kilometers /15 miles from the hotel. Transfer time will be approximately 25 minutes depending on the time of day and traffic.

The closest train and bus station is Union Station, 65 Front Street West Toronto, ON, M5J 1E6, Canada. Union Station is approximately 1.6 kilometers / 1 mile from the hotel. - Valet parking spots are available on a first come first serve basis as the hotel has a limited number of spots.
- Hotel Valet Parking hourly rate is $25.00 CAD/hr + tax ($28.25 CAD). After 3 hours, the charge is $60.00 CAD+tax ($67.80 CAD), which is the per day cost.
- Oversized vehicles are $75 CAD + tax = $84.75 CAD.
Self-Park
- There is no self-park option at the Hotel. Self-Park is available at City Hall Parking which is located across from the Hotel
- $3.50 CAD/half hour
- Day Maximum (7am – 6pm) $20.00 CAD.
- Night Maximum (6pm – 7am) $6.00 CAD.
- Sat/Sun/Holidays Maximum (7am – 7am): $8.00 CAD.
