Graduate Student Conference Paper Prize

Deadline: April 15, 2024

The ASECS Executive Board offers a prize of $200 for the best paper presented by a graduate student at the ASECS Annual Meeting. (Regional meetings do not qualify.)

Papers submitted for this competition should be no longer than 2,500 words plus notes and illustrations. Papers exceeding this length will be disqualified. To be eligible for the prize, the author must be a member in good standing of ASECS or an ISECS affiliate society who is currently enrolled in a graduate program.

Please submit papers in .pdf format, by uploading them to this Google Form. If submitting via the form would prove an obstacle to applying, please contact the Executive Director Benita Blessing (director@asecs.org) for an alternate format.

Submissions must be received by the second Monday following the Annual Meeting. The winner will be notified in June and the award announced on the ASECS website and in the August/September News Circular. Questions may be addressed to the committee chair, Prof. Amy Freund (afreund@mail.smu.edu).

The Annual Meeting will be April 4-6, 2024; the deadline to submit a paper is Monday, April 15, 2024, 11:59pm.
