Dear ASECS members and friends,
On December 2, 1969, ASECS was incorporated in the State of Illinois. Please join me in reflecting on all that the society has accomplished. Here are a few numbers about our Annual Meeting alone:
- ASECS held 54 Annual Meetings, at which
- 49 Louis Gottschalk Book Prizes were awarded, and
- over $60,000 was awarded to Graduate Students in Traveling Jam Pot Awards, and
- $6,500 was awarded from the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Fund.
As we approach Giving Tuesday, tomorrow, December 3, 2024, please check in on our progress for this year’s goal. Here’s a sneak peek for now: ASECS Giving Tuesday 2024. We’ll be updating the site regularly until Wednesday, so be sure to check in on it.
Until then, I encourage you to think about what your contribution could do to promote scholarship on the long eighteenth century throughout the year.
