CfP: Bloomington Center for 18th-Century Studies, “1776 in the World”

The Bloomington Center for Eighteenth-Century Studies will be hosting a Spring Workshop (the twenty-fourth!), on the campus of Indiana University. It will take place on May 21-23, 2026.  This year’s topic is “1776 in the World” (see the linked PDF). Sept. 5, 2025 Dear ASECS Members, We are writing to apologize for a scheduling error that has recently come to light, which will make it difficult for observant Jews to fully participate in our 2026 spring Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, even though it is our policy to avoid scheduling conferences and major meetings on holidays that our members observe.
