Annual Meeting and Passover Schedule Conflict

Sept. 5, 2025 Dear ASECS Members, We are writing to apologize for a scheduling error that has recently come to light, which will make it difficult for observant Jews to fully participate in our 2026 spring Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, even though it is our policy to avoid scheduling conferences and major meetings on holidays that our members observe. The Eighteenth-Century Scottish Studies Society celebrates four decades as an affiliate society of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies by holding its annual conference with ASECS in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, April 9-11, 2026. ECSSS will sponsor its own panels at the ASECS meeting. The American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) is pleased to announce our Call for Papers for our 54th Annual Meeting, to be held April 4-6, 2024 at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto.
